Why was my listing rejected?
The most common rejection reasons and how to fix each one.
Video coming soon
Follow the written steps below in the meantime.
Step by step
- 1
Photos don't match the description: retake photos of the actual unit, no stock images or someone else's property.
- 2
Video missing, too shaky, or too dark: re-record following the Roov video guidelines — steady pan through every room, natural daylight, clean spaces.
- 3
Address incomplete or fake: add the full street address (the privacy toggle in Settings hides it from public view; you can still list with the toggle on).
- 4
Price is unreasonable for the area: double-check the annual rent and any fees. Rents dramatically above or below the local range trigger extra review.
- 5
Duplicate listing: the same unit is already listed by another manager. Contact support if you believe you have the right to list it.
- 6
Missing required fees for a Manager account: Portable Caution Deposit and Management Fee are required. Listers only need the Listing Service Fee.
- 7
After you fix the issue, resubmit from the listing card. The re-review is usually faster than the first pass.
That's the whole process. If you get stuck at any step, email support@roov.africa and we'll help.
